Gunmen supposed to be Fulani herdsmen have raided Ungwan Dauda village in Sanga Local Government Area of Kaduna State, killing at least 5 citizens, and burning down several houses.
An aborigine of the area, told journalists that the over 10 gunmen attacked the village at about 4:00am local time when the residents were still in their sleep and shoot on them.
The gunmen reportedly burnt several houses and farmlands before leaving into a nearby wood, following the interference of soldiers who were promptly drafted to the area.

Another indigene of Southern Kaduna, Dr John Danfulani, said the Fulani herdsmen, who raided the village with sophisticated guns, killed a one year old baby and his mother, three others and injured over 20 people.
He said the injured ones were hurried to nearby hospitals for treatment.
The spokesperson for Kaduna State Police Command, Aminu Lawan speaking over accident said he was not aware of any attack in the area.
Sanga is about 350km from the capital of the state and has faced several attacks by gunmen since the beginning of this year.
