He would easily pass as one of
the most controversial artistes in
Nigeria.
Benue state born artiste, Terry G,
is very controversial and doesn't
hid it. Luckily, it hasn't effected
his career, instead it boosted it.
Perceived to indulge in hard
substance, Terry G admitted it
was actually an actress that
introduced him to the use of
hard drugs.
Though he didn’t mention the
name of the actress, but the
proud baby father said it was
never really his intention to get
into drugs.
“People actually see me as a very
bad guy, so it does not surprise
me when I go to certain places
and they offer me some things
because they think I already
indulge in them. It was a
gathering of celebrities and they
say when you are in Rome act
like a Roman. I was offered and I
did not want to be seen as the
odd one out, so I indulged in it
with them,” he said.
Talking about the substance,
Terry G said it was cocaine but
he found out that it didn’t
“work” for him even after he
used it, so he decided to quit.
“I am the first born of my family
and I felt it would not be good to
continue with such. Also, God has
blessed me with enough energy.
My fans know me to be very
energetic and I believe that
anything that could slow me
down can kill me. I spoke to
myself because the substance
normally slowed me down and I
decided to stop it. While I
indulged in it, nobody knew
because I know how to control
myself,” he said.
Terry G could remember how he
quit as he said, “I cut off all
relationships that I had with that
set of people. We stopped
communicating. I have never
bought it before in my life, so it
was easy to stop once I cut those
people off.”
South Africa
secured a
dramatic draw
with Nigeria with
Bongani Zungu
scoring with practically the last
kick of the game to seal a 1-1
result.
South Africa had a gilt-edged
chance to go into the lead
midway through the second half
from the penalty spot but Super
Eagles shot-stopper Daniel Akpeyi
tipped Andile Jali's penalty on to
the upright.
Ahemd Musa must have thought
he had made the hosts pay for
their missed opportunity by
cutting in from the inside and
curling an effort into the top
corner late in the friendly.
But South Africa ploughed
forwards in the final few minutes
and were rewarded for their
endeavour when Zungu pounced
on a late ball inside the box to
deny Nigeria their Africa Cup of
Nations qualification revenge
The Joseph König secondary
school is in Haltern am See, north
of Dusseldorf.
Returning from a week-long
exchange trip, 16 Joseph König
teenagers and two teachers
were on the Germanwings flight
which never arrived from
Barcelona.
The school has been surrounded
by police urging media to respect
students’ general reluctance to
speak out on camera.
The loss to the city of some
38,000 people drew reactions of
disbelief as well as despair.
We spoke to people in the centre
of town.
One man said: “I met somebody
today who said he had a
business meeting today and said,
‘I can’t cancel that, I have to
attend, because life goes on.’ And
that’s exactly what we need to
do! It is very sad, but what can
you do?”
A woman told us: “My three
brothers all go to that school. I
had to call them three or four
times, to make sure they were
home — it’s unbelievable!
Everybody always says flying is
the safest form of transport, and
then something like this
happens! It’s just unbelievable.
My brothers look totally down.”
A couple said: “There just aren’t
the words to say how everyone
is concerned, it’s just
unthinkable.”
A younger woman said:
“Everybody knows everybody
here, and even if you didn’t know
the victims personally, you’ve
seen them sometimes at school. I
imagine it’s unbelievably difficult
for the relatives, but I’m happy
the town is sticking together.”
Flags are at half-mast and
churches have stayed open.
The students — in the 10th
grade — were aged 15 and 16.
They drew lots to see who could
go on the trip to Llinars del Valles
near Barcelona.
Media cited the Joseph König
principal as saying the tragedy
made people speechless. Classes
and exams have been cancelled.
Our correspondent Olaf Bruns
summed up: “There is an
impressive silence here at the
school, a need to reflect, gather
together and mourn. Younger
pupils, too, are standing in silent
tribute at the school, where
candles have been placed. One of
them who didn’t want to appear
on camera told me he can’t cry
because he still can’t believe
what happened.”
Thousands of Singaporeans and
world leaders have lined the
streets to pay their respects to
the country's founding prime
minister.
Lee Kuan Yew, who served as
prime minister for 31 years, died
on Monday at the age of 91. He
had been suffering from
pneumonia.
After almost a week of national
mourning, Mr Lee's coffin was
taken from Parliament House to
the National University of
Singapore for a state funeral.
Over a million people have paid
their respects, officials say
Officials said more than a million
people have already paid their
respects to the former leader by
visiting tribute sites at
community centres across the
island.
"It has been a deeply moving
experience," Prime Minister Lee
Hsien Loong, Mr Lee's son, said in
a Facebook post thanking the
public.

The expansive show of emotion
is a rare event for Singapore.
Singapore is known around the
world as a wealthy Asian trade
and financial centre with a strict
social order including a ban on
chewing gum and caning for
some crimes.
Mr Lee ruled with an iron grip
until 1990 and is regarded by
Singaporeans as the architect of
the island's prosperity.
But his authoritarian rule has
also left a legacy of restrictions
on free speech, a tame media
and a stunted democracy.
Leaders and dignitaries from
more than two dozen countries
attended the state funeral.
Highlights of the procession
included a 21-gun salute by four
howitzers and a flyover by four
fighter jets.
The ceremony concluded with
the singing of the Malay-
language national anthem
Majulah Singapura (Onwards
Singapore).
Mr Lee's remains were then
driven to a private cremation
service.
An equaliser from
Kaka helped
Orlando City to a
come-from-
behind 2-2 draw
at Montreal Impact in MLS on
Saturday.
The Brazilian made it two goals
in four games, scoring in the
30th minute of an entertaining
first half to earn his team a draw.
Orlando sit fourth in the Eastern
Conference, while the Impact
remain winless.
Montreal had looked on track for
their first victory when they
struck twice in the opening 27
minutes, with Ignacio Piatti
making it 1-0 from the penalty
spot.
Jack McInerney doubled the lead
when a defensive mix-up
allowed him to loop a shot over a
stranded Donovan Ricketts.
Pedro Ribeiro dragged the
visitors back into the contest,
putting away a scrappy goal in
the 29th minute.
And Ribeiro helped set up the
equaliser just a minute later, his
pass collected by Kaka and
finished well from close range.
Meanwhile, there were
contrasting fortunes for the two
New York teams.
The Red Bulls went top of the
East after a 2-1 victory over the
Columbus Crew, with Bradley
Wright-Phillips making it two
goals in as many games.
Mike Grella's 67th-minute goal
proved to be the match-winner
for the visitors and the Crew
were reduced to 10 men late on
when Federico Higuain saw red.
Without the injured David Villa,
New York City suffered their first
ever loss, going down 1-0 at
home to Sporting Kansas City.
Robert Earnshaw netted a late
winner in the Vancouver
Whitecaps' 2-1 victory at home to
the Portland Timbers.
A double from Kelyn Rowe saw
the New England Revolution
edge the San Jose Earthquakes
2-1, while Chris Pontius struck
late to see DC United past Los
Angeles Galaxy 1-0.
The Houston Dynamo's clash at
home to the Colorado Rapids and
the Seattle Sounders' trip to
Dallas both finished 0-0.

First Lady of Lagos state, Dame
Abimbola Fashola opened up on
how she and her husband,
Governor Raji Fashola have been
able to manage their home
despite their religious
differences. She’s a christian
while he’s a Muslim. She revealed
this in a new interview with
Channels TV. She said;
“We got married in the
Church, the Catholic church,
that is who I am, that’s
where you will take me from
and that was done. But ever
since then my husband has
practiced his religion and I
have practiced mine. There is
no trouble whatsoever. My
husband has his own part of
the house where he prays, I
have my own altar there
with my crucifix and my
rosary and everything and
everyone is minding their
own business. When its time
for family prayer, we pray. I
pray mine to the name of
Jesus Christ while he prays in
Allah’s name & the children
understand all that. My
children are baptized and
they go to church. When he
wants them to go to mosque
with him they go to the
mosque with him.
President Goodluck Jonathan has
said he voted for himself.
Speaking with BBC’s Peter
Okwoche after casting his vote,
the President said he does not
blame the Independent National
Electoral Commission (INEC) for
today’s problems.
When asked who he had voted
for, he replied: “I voted for myself
and for the PDP.
Speaking about reported
violence in Enugu, Jonathan said
he only heard about a bomb
blast and when he called the
Governor, he said there was no
bomb blast but some vehicles
came from the north and it was
suspected to be IED.

Earlier in the day, the President
and his wife, Patience Jonathan,
could not be accredited by the
Independent National Electoral
Commission’s voter card readers.
Three voter card readers failed to
read the president’s biometrics
and accredit him for voting at the

in his home town, Otueke,
Bayelsa state.
He was later accredited but not
with the card readers.
Chelsea star Eden
Hazard has
admitted he
thinks Jose
Mourinho's
expectations of him scoring at
the rate of Lionel Messi and
Cristiano Ronaldo are beyond
him.
The serial Ballon d'Or winners
have already bagged 32 and 31
goals respectively in La Liga alone
this season, while Hazard has
netted just 11 times despite
playing in the Premier League's
second-most prolific forward
line.
The Belgium international
revealed last month that
Mourinho wants him to score
two or three times a game , but
he has now suggested that -
despite his fruitful season at
Chelsea - matching the exploits of
the Barcelona and Real Madrid
stars is almost impossible.
"I'm happy with my season at
Chelsea, just as I was last year,
and I am continuing to develop,"
the former Lille star told L’Equipe.
"People [like Mourinho] expect
me to score 30 to 40 goals per
season [like Messi and Ronaldo]
but I'm not like that.
"If there's one point I must
improve on it is to be more
efficient, to play more for me and
score more goals, but I had a
great season that can end up
with two trophies and that
would be great."
Chelsea are en route to securing
the Premier League title, though
Hazard says the gruelling nature
of English football makes it
almost impossible to compete
both domestically and in the
Champions League - even
claiming that losing to Paris
Saint-Germain was a blessing in
disguise.
"After the elimination against
Chelsea we were a little bit
disappointed," the Belgian
continued.
"But now we tell ourselves that, if
we went through, the schedule
would have been too hard to
carry on so maybe it was a
blessing in disguise. We could
have ended up losing everything.
"PSG deserved it. They played
better than we did. Now we only
have the league. We will try our
best to win the most games
possible in order to win another
trophy after the League Cup.
"The Premier League is very
demanding in terms of energy.
It's hard to play in Europe at the
same time. When you play tough
games at West Ham, Stoke, or Hull
and you have to play against top
European teams immediately
after...
"You could say it was a bad year,
too. We lacked luck. Arsenal did a
very good game at Monaco but
didn't go through."
Brymo and his girlfriend,
Esse Kakadaare have now
welcomed his first child
together.
Brymo announced the big
news on Twitter “I have

welcome WAJU, welcome
son!!!,”.
In a recent interview Brymo
said he won’t be getting
married soon, but when it is
time he will make us know;
he added that a child is a
product of love and not
marrriage.
One of the most controversial
artistes in Nigeria is certainly
Terry G. But then, the
controversies that have trailed
him have in no way affected his
career.
Perceived to indulge in hard
substance, Terry G admitted it
was actually an actress that
introduced him to the use of
hard drugs.
Though he didn’t mention the
name of the actress while having
a chat with Saturday Beats
recently, the singer said it was
never really his intention to get
into drugs.
“People actually see me as a very
bad guy, so it does not surprise
me when I go to certain places
and they offer me some things
because they think I already
indulge in them.
It was a gathering of celebrities
and they say when you are in
Rome act like a Roman. I was
offered and I did not want to be
seen as the odd one out, so I
indulged in it with them,” he
said.
Talking about the substance,
Terry G said it was cocaine but
he found out that it didn’t
“work” for him even after he
used it, so he decided to quit.
“I am the first born of my family

relationships that I had with that
set of people. We stopped
communicating.
I have never bought it before in
my life, so it was easy to stop
once I cut those people off.”
Apart from the drug issue, there
was a time Terry G decided to
add ‘Zuz’ to his name. A lot of
people frowned at it, saying it
was blasphemous.
Reacting to that, Terry G said,
“That is what they think. Jesus is
a name.
They should make their findings,
I am a child of God and I will
never blaspheme.
The name Jesus has been in
existence even before our Lord
was born. The only comma there
is Christ. I cannot call myself
Christ.
The spelling of my name is
different. It is Terry G Zuz, not
Terry Jesus.
But based on the fact that I love
controversy, I did not mind. It is
just the same way I said people
should be calling me Lucifer.
I knew it was going to create
controversy but what I meant
was ‘look see far.’
Our elders often say that what
they can see sitting down, a child
cannot see it even if he climbs a
tree and that is what informed
the name.
I like thinking out of the box.”
The Monaco left back has urged

as they vote in Saturday’s
presidential and parliamentary

Monaco defender
Elderson Echiejile
has urged for
peaceful polls in
Nigeria as the
country votes in presidential and
parliamentary elections on
Saturday.
The elections come six weeks
late after they were postponed
due to security concerns in the
north eastern part of the country
where terrorist group Boko

recently.
This year’s election has been the
closest in Africa's most populated
country since the return to
civilian rule in 1999, and has
been tipped to go to the wire,
leaving the country divided
between supporters of the ruling
Peoples Democratic Party and the
main opposition All Progressives

A branch of the Living Faith

The church, founded by Bishop

During the incident that

saved from the church.
The burning of the church came
a few months after the reported

Christians in the North,
particularly the Hausa, Fulani and

are indigenous in these states
and live within and among their

The statement reads in full:

two (2) unknown hoodlums on a
motorcycle drove into the

the Christian Community
especially the Church members,

sign of it between Christians and
Muslims in the town.
“It is, however, a known fact that
the people of the Local
Government have not been
friendly with the Christian
Community even though over 90
percent of them are of the same
Huasa-Fulani indigenes.
“The incident actually became
more worrisome when no effort
was made by a passersby to
assist in putting out the fire. In
fact, it was a Fulani herdsman
that saw the fire and reported to
the Police Station. Only one
Policeman and a Christian
volunteer that ran to the scene
and attempted to put out the fire
but of course could not achieve
anything.
“This situation and the
circumstances surrounding the
incidence are a cause of serious
concern. If this can happen more
than a week to the Presidential
Elections, what shall we expect
during or after the elections?

May D's baby mama Adebola
Olowoporoku tells the story of
her sad relationship with popular
"ile Ijo crooner" and how she
endured brutal beatings from the
singer, real name Akinmayokun
Awodumila, for years. She said
she broke up the relationship in
December 2014 to escape the
violence but when they met up
again in January to talk about
their son who was born in
January 2013. Please read the
story she wrote herself :
Quote
My name is Debola I’m sure you
know who I am, , I'm May D’s
baby Mama… I haven’t come here
to rant or make noise, but to say
some important things that I feel
people should know. I will try to
make my story as short as
possible.
I was with MayD for 8 years,
which implies we were together
from the get-go, before his
career began and when nobody
knew him obviously. For many
years I stayed with him,
obviously as his girlfriend, I
supported him, financially,
physically and emotionally. Back
then when I was in Babcock we
passed through loads of hurdles
together being that he was
struggling and incapable of
providing for himself and I was
obliged to supporting him
financially. Even when it was
extreme, like giving him a
semester’s tuition to pay for
studio sessions while I stupidly
stayed at home, the things we do
for love right?
I practically paused my life for
him, for us at a point. The sad
part about this whole thing is
that I never got tired I did
everything that was within my
reach. He stopped to cater for his
kid a while ago, which I took
responsibilities for and started to
do diligently. Now, like most
relationships we had major
problems which included the
frequent cheating and escapades
with girls which I obviously
endured as I was consumed by
the “main chick” title. Not that I
was even getting any good thing
in return, he never for one day
acknowledge me, or made me
feel like we were in a
relationship together. I had no
simple freedom to do
whatsoever on my own, be it
business, friendship etc.The
thing I couldn't cope with was
the fact that he beat me up at
every slightest opportunity he
had, he beats me up like a man,
he beat me up so badly in front
of our little boy all the time. He
assaulted me regularly, I suffered
domestic violence in silence, and
this last time he beat me up so
badly and I passed out.. I saw my
life flash right in front of me. I
witnessed been close to death, I
prayed to survive each time he
pounced on me, damaging
several properties and breaking
diff stuff on my head. This had to
be my last experience, as I
thought to myself, who will take
care of my child for me if I die in
his hands? Who will he call
mother? Who will stand by him?
So I left the relationship hurriedly
without thinking of how much
time, energy, resources that must
have been wasted
All the bank accounts of Enugu
Catholic Priest of Adoration
Ministry, Rev. Fr. Ejike Mbaka,
have been frozen.
Sources traced the action to the
Economic and Financial Crimes
Commission (EFCC).
They claimed that the EFCC
operatives who carried out the
operation were detailed from
Port Harcourt, the Rivers State
capital.
Mbaka was also said to have
been asked to report at their Port
Harcourt office on an unspecified
date.
Mbaka’s media aide, Maximus
Ugwuoke said: “All the cheques
issued to the banks today
(yesterday) were returned. We
don’t know why they decided to
use EFCC operatives from Port
Harcourt while the zonal
headquarters is here in Enugu. ”
The media aide said the action
might not be unconnected with
the December 31, 2014 message
in which Fr. Mbaka criticised
President Jonathan’s
administration.
The priest had also raised the
alarm that his life was being
threatened
But the EFCC denied freezing the
bank account of the fiery priest.
Head of Media and Publicity of
the commission, Mr. Wilson
Uwujiaren, in a statement last
night, said:
“The attention of the Economic
and Financial Crimes Commission
(EFCC) has been drawn to reports
in a section of the media
claiming that the Commission
had frozen the accounts of
Enugu-based Rev. Fr. Ejike Mbaka
of the Adoration Mass fame.
“The Commission wishes to state
that there is no truth in the
report and should be
discountenanced.”
The 2nd paragraph of the letter
reads:
NIGERIA, known as the
“African giant”, with its
more than 160 million
inhabitants, is set to play a
primary role, not only in
Africa but in the world at
large. In recent years, it has
experienced robust growth
in the economic sphere and
has again reasserted itself
on the world stage as an
attractive market, on account
of its natural resources as
well as its commercial
potential. It is now
considered officially the
single largest African
economy. It has also
distinguished itself as a
political player widely
committed to the resolution
of crisis situations in the
continent.”
The letter has elicited favorable
reactions to President Jonathans
camp, as they struggle to
convince Nigerians of the
Economic growth in the face of
APC’s heavy propaganda
Machinery.
According to Wole Akinyeye “Can
anyone take this from us? But it
only happened under the watch
of a VISIONARY LEADER-
GOODLUCK EBELE JONATHAN! ?#?
GEJTill2019 is the demand of
majority of NIGERIANS”
Ms. Eleanya Onwuka “APC will
soon claim President Goodluck
Jonathan paid the Pope for his
statement on Nigeria’s growth.
APC is a party full of lies and
deceptions as exposed by the
Deputy Governor of Rivers State.
God Bless Nigeria, God Bless
President Goodluck Jonathan”
Mr. Richard said, “Good deed has
a way of speaking for itself. Good
luck Jonathan is working, it’s no
fiction, the world at large is
attesting to that fact. Vote him to
do more! Pope Francis also attest
to the growth of the Nigerian
economy. Whose report do you
believe? Don’t let the APC
propaganda agents deceive you.”
Timi Remi-Meindinyo also said
“Never again are we allowing a
confirmed NITWIT rule us again!
To reverse all the gains we have
painstakingly achieved under the
able leadership of President GEJ.
Never again. Thank you and God
bless Pope Frances.”

The Lagos state governor,
Babatunde Fashola, has accused
President Goodluck Jonathan of
taking credit for projects
constructed by the Lagos state
government.

According to Premium Times,
Fashola expressed his discontent
speaking at the seventh annual
colloquium of the former
governor of the state, Bola
Tinubu, on March 25, 2015.
According to the governor it was
“corrupt” for the president to lay
claim to a waterworks project in
Lagos.
Jonathan’s campaign group had
listed the Phase two water
project at Adiyan, Lagos, as one
the achievements of his
administration, suggesting to
Lagos people that the president
had delivered it to the state.
“This morning on page 64 of the
Guardian, I saw a list of
accomplishment of the president
in Lagos; there were others that
they have built the road leading
to the international airport. But
what was disturbing was that
they listed phase two
waterworks as one of things the
president have done in Lagos,”
Fashola said.
Fashola stressed in his speech
that the project was constructed
by his administration, with
funding from Lagos taxpayers’
money.
“I think that is cheap, a lie about
something you did not do and I
think it is corrupt. For the record,
that waterworks is being
constructed by the Lagos State
government with tax payer’s
money,” he added.
In November 2014, Reuben
Abati, the special adviser on
media and publicity to the
president, showcased projects
executed by the Kano state
government as part of the legacy
projects executed by the
President Goodluck Jonathan’s
administration in the northwest
geopolitical zone of the country.
On March 22, 2015, in a 10-part
series of tweets Abati
highlighted major projects that
he said the Jonathan
administration had executed in
the six northwest states of Kano,
Kaduna, Katsina, Sokoto, Kebbi
and Zamfara.
The Kano state government in its
turn accused the presidency of
fraud and demanded an apology.
It is not the first time the Lagos
state governor has voiced his
criticism of the president’s
actions. A month ago Fashola
blasted Goodluck Jonathan for
his incessant visits to Lagos
ahead of the presidential
election.
Following the tragedy when
armed men stormed the First City
Monument Bank in Lekki, the
governor reacted with fury at the
preside n
t for diverting police resources
during his campaign visit to the
city.

Terry: I used to warm up toilet
seats for Chelsea's senior players
The 34-year-old admits he was
keen to help out the established
players in any way he could
whilst breaking through to the
first team at Stamford Bridge

John Terry admits
he used to warm
up toilet seats for
Chelsea's senior
players during
the early years of his career at
Stamford Bridge.
The 34-year-old, who signed a
new one-year contract extension
on Thursday, has been with
Chelsea since the age of 14 and
made his first-team debut in
October 1998.
But while he was establishing
himself as a regular in the
Chelsea squad, Terry would look
to help the senior players in any
way he could.
"I'd do anything for them. I'd
make their teas and coffees, even
silly things like sit on the toilet to
make the seat warm for them in
the cold winter days at the
training ground," Terry told
Chelsea Pitch Owners.
"It's bizarre when you think
about it but that was part of
growing up."
Terry formed a strong bond with
the then Chelsea captain Dennis
Wise and has revealed the former
midfielder would back him in any
arguments during training.
"I used to clean his boots and he
wanted them perfect so I took
really good care of them," said
Terry.
"Every now and then he gave me
a little bonus. Every time he
scored I was on £25, which was
half my wages at the time. I used
to be praying we'd get a penalty
or he'd score.
"[During training] I would go in
and win tackles against first-
team players, and I remember at
the time people were going:
'Ooh, you can't do that'.
"Sometimes, the foreign guys,
especially, didn't like it. Dan
Petrescu, once, he got me round
the throat, and said: 'What do
you think you're doing?!'
"The first one over, to back me
up, was Wisey: 'If you've got
something to say, you say it to
me, not the younger players'. Me
and Dan laugh about it now."
Here are five quotes from
Obama’s message that members
of the All Progressives Congress
(APC) are very uncomfortable
with:
1. “Nigeria is a great nation and
you can be proud of the
progress you’ve made.”
Obama acknowledges that
Nigeria has made tremendous
progress that we can be proud
of. Listening to the APC’s
message you would think that
Nigeria is not working, and
Obama rightly points out that we
have made progress under the
present Jonathan administration.
Who would want uncertain
change over the chance to keep
progressing?
2. “Together, you won your
independence, emerged from
military rule, and strengthened
democratic institutions.”
Read the quote again. Obama
says there is no going back to
military rule. Do we want to go
back to being bound by the
shackles of dictatorship? Buhari
says he is a “reformed democrat”
but as we all know a leopard
doesn’t change its spots.
3. “You’ve worked hard to
improve the lives of your families
and to build the largest economy
in Africa.”
Contrary to all the lies that the
APC has been trying to sell, our
economy is progressing, and it
did not become the largest
economy in Africa by chance but
by the good policies of the
Jonathan administration. Obama
states this fact whilst
acknowledging that the lives of
Nigerians have improved, and
thereby showing the APC to be
liars.
4. “Violence has no place in
democratic elections — and that
they will not incite, support or
engage in any kind of violence —
before, during, or after the votes
are counted.”
When violence is mentioned,
Nigerians cannot extricate
General Buhari from his famous
statement before the 2011
elections and his famous silence
after his supporters went wild.
The Blood of Dog and Baboon
statement recently made
concerning the 2015 elections
still echoes deeply. The APC is
threatening a parallel
government also… Obama’s
speech is a clear warning against
that.
5. “Boko Haram wants to destroy
Nigeria and all that you have
worked to build. By casting your
ballot, you can help secure your
nation’s progress.”
Secure your nation’s progress.
Don’t change your fortunes.
Obama’s call on Nigeria to secure
our progress is like a call to
retain President Jonathan under
whose presidency this progress
has been achieved. As it is ill
advised to change a commander-
in-chief during war, Nigerians
must fight together and
eliminate Boko Haram with the
armed forces who are presently
winning the war and sustain this
momentum.
Obama also said: ”in this task of
advancing the security,
prosperity, and human rights of
all Nigerians, you will continue to
have a friend and partner in the
United States of America.”
Lest we forget, Nigerians are still
much aware of the flagrant
violation of human rights under
General Buhari, resulting in a
rupture in diplomatic relations
with the UK and others.
Sergio Ramos
says Andres
Iniesta is the
boyfriend that
every mother
wants their daughter to bring
home and says it is a shame he
does not play for Real Madrid.
The midfielder has been at
Barcelona for almost 19 years
now, having spent 13 in the
senior team, winning a host of
domestic, continental and world
titles for club and country.
And Ramos says he would love to
have seen his Spain team-mate
join him at Real Madrid.
"Iniesta is the boyfriend that
every mother wants," he said at a
press conference. "The figures
over his career tell you all you
need to know. He is a magical
player.
"There are few players in the
world that can compare to
him, but unfortunately he is not
with us at Real Madrid."
Friday's Euro 2016 qualifier with
Ukraine comes 10 years and a
day after Ramos made his
national team debut and he says
the time has flown by.
"Time passes very quickly and
you don't get to enjoy it properly.
I look around and I feel old.
"But there's been a lot of
positives, like all the knowledge
that Vicente del Bosque and Luis
Aragones brought me that
helped me become a better
player and a better person."

Four-time African footballer of the year, Samuel Eto’o has revealed how jewellers in London refused to sell him wristwatches because some Nigerians had come to the shop the day before with fake credit cards.
Eto’o during his time at Chelsea
During an interview with CNN, Eto’o revealed how he went to buy watches with his brother but the sales rep refused to attend to them because of fear that he might be another Nigerian scammer following in the footsteps of those that came the day before.
The former Chelsea, Barcelona, Inter Milan and Everton star, who is worth over $100million, said he’d gone into the store with his brother to buy a £10,000 watch, but said the shop assistant looked at them suspiciously and reluctantly allowed them to view the watches.

Paris Saint- Germain and Brazil defender, David Luiz has hit out at his former coach, Jose Mourinho, insisting the Chelsea coach is not special as far as he is concerned. Speaking about the second leg of the Champions League tie between Chelsea and PSG billed for Wednesday, March 11, 2015, the former Chelsea defender is quoted by Daily Mail to have said he does not recognise Mourinho’s self styled ‘Special One’ title. ‘He (Mourinho) is special for you, but not for me,’ Luiz said. Although the Brazilian defender praised his former club; he remains firm that his French club is confident of thumping Chelsea in England despite their first leg draw. ‘They are having a great season, defend well and have great players but above all I know my team. We will try to score there and play like we know how we can. We will have a good game plan and implement it the best way possible to achieve a great performance. Both can still qualify,’ he said. David Luiz moved from Chelsea to Paris Saint Germain last season for a fee of £50m, a world-record transfer for a defender, signing a five-year contract on Friday, June 13 2014....

Image result for RAKITICIvan Rakitic says he is uninterested in the current crisis at Real Madrid and that his sole concern is on nailing down a regular starting berth at "best club in the world" Barcelona.
Madrid looked formidable earlier in the season, embarking upon a 22-game wining streak in all competitions that saw them storm to the top of La Liga, as well as lift the Fifa Club World Cup.
However, since losing to Valencia just after the winter break, their form has nosedived and last weekend's loss at Athletic Bilbao allowed a resurgent Barca to displace them at the top of La Liga.
A Champions League loss at home to Schalke has piled further pressure on Madrid's players and coach Carlo Ancelotti ahead of the pivotal Clasico clash at Camp Nou on March 22.
However, Rakitic insists that he retains the utmost respect for the Blancos and is only interested in ensuring that he is in Luis Enrique's starting line-up when their great rivals come to Catalunya 10 days' time.
"First of all, I don`t like to talk about other teams because we can't change what they're doing," the midfielder told reporters on Thursday. "We just want to prepare well for all of our matches. We want to win all of our games.
