Governor Fashola dancing shokiFirst it was the Osun state governor, Rauf Argebesola, who stunned the crowd when he sat on a moving campaign bus to throw cash and recharge cards to his supporters, then came the turn of Lagos governor, Babatunde Fashola, who left the crowd amazed at his great dance skills.
Before the 2011 elections, one slogan that became prominent in President Goodluck Jonathan campaign theme was,“I had no shoes growing up” . This sentence was used  by Jonathan in one of his speeches when he was canvassing for Nigerian votes at the election.

Barcelona attacker Neymar feels he is in no position to give Luis Suarez any advice following his difficult start to life at Camp Nou.

The Uruguay international has been struggling to find his best form since joining the Catalans from Liverpool ahead of the 2014-15 campaign and was even dropped from the starting XI for this weekend's 6-0 win over Elche after scoring just twice in 11 La Liga games.

Neymar endured similar difficulties in his first season at Barcelona in 2013-14, yet the Brazil international believes he is not the right man to tell his team-mate how to cope with the situation.

Asisat Oshoala
How has it been since you were crowned Africa’s best female football player?
It has been really good for me because it has added many feathers to my cap. And it has boosted my personality a great deal. All thanks to God for the successes and everything I have become since I burst into limelight.

Did you envisage your sudden rise to fame
I wouldn’t say I saw this coming, though. Having said that, I was not surprised when the fame started coming because I had prayed to God to lift me up. So we can say they are answers to my daily prayers.
The move to Liverpool, can you call it a dream come true?
Of course it is. Because it is the dream of every player to play at the peak and Liverpool ladies represent one of the best female football teams in the world. So, it is really a dream come true for me.

Scientists believe that the extra fat around women’s bums could help in the development of babies’ brains.

A new study conducted by Amercian scientists claims that women’s curvy thighs, hips and buttocks increases the child’s intelligence. Researchers from the University of Pittsburgh suggest that fat that is transferred to the baby through breastfeeding plays a vital role in the development of newborns’ brain. Study also Confirms That Men Are More Stupid Than Women
Professor Will Lassek, who led the research, explained, “The fat in these areas is a depot for building a baby’s brain. You need lots of fat to make a nervous system, and the fats in these areas are also enriched in DHA (docosahexaenoic acid), which is a particularly important component in the human brain.

It was reported that the inferno at Ijaniki began when the cooking stove on which an unnamed woman was frying some frozen chicken inside her one room apartment at 22 Morakinyo street exploded and burst into flames.
As the fire became too much, the woman was said to have rushed to fetch water from the well to contain it but the fire reportedly engulfed the entire room where she laid her baby. Her husband and other occupants were still in the church praying when the incident happened. The fire was said to have spread to the other six rooms and a shop according to the Lagos State Director of Fire Service, Mr Rasaq Fadipe, who said that the arrival of fire service men, however, prevented the fire from spreading to other buildings.

He disclosed that the Appeal Panel had yet to respond to the petition he submitted to it on the outcome of the state’s governorship primaries conducted by the PDP.
“I want to assure my supporters that no amount of conspiracy by a few people will stop me from contesting the 2015 general elections,” he said.
He advised the electorate not to vote for candidates on religious or ethnic basis, but to choose those with dispositions to tackle the challenges confronting the state.
He urged all his supporters to support the re-election of President Goodluck Jonathan in 2015, even though he might not contest on the platform of PDP.
The former minister said Jonathan deserved a second term because of what he had done in transforming all the sectors of the nation’s economy.

Baby-in-handbag-450x600
We’ve seen and heard of people carrying their cute little dogs in handbags. But carrying a baby in a handbag? Wow.
Apparently, a 26-year-old Chinese mother, Xue Hsueh, thought it would be a great idea to carry her nine-month-old son in her designer bag, and take a picture. She subsequently posted it online, Metro UK reports.
Shortly after posting the picture, Hsueh, received widespread criticism from most people online who saw the image.
However, she has defended her actions, claiming that the baby was only in the handbag for a short period of time. She also said she did as a joke as she was talking to her friends about what would happen if the responsibility of childcare was left in men’s hands.
Hsueh also stated that her son was enjoying himself and having fun, and that she only posted the picture to make people smile.
