Nigeria  goalkeeper Vincent Enyeama has made the shortlist for the RFI - FRANCE 24 Marc-Vivien Foé Awardfor the best African player in the French Ligue 1 football championship for the 2014-15 season, it has been announced.
The Super Eagles captain edged out Ivory Coast defender Serge Aurier (Toulouse FC) and Cameroon international player Henri Bedimo (Olympique Lyonnais) to win the last edition.
A shortlist of 10 players in the running to receive this year’s award was unveiled in France by state radio RFI and satellite television France 24 – sponsors of the award.

A native of Katsina state who promised to trek from Lagos to Abuja if General Muhammadu Buhari from the All Progressives Congress won the presidential poll, has been seen in Niger state.

Four-time African footballer of the year, Samuel Eto’o has revealed how jewellers in London refused to sell him wristwatches because some Nigerians had come to the shop the day before with fake credit cards.

During an interview with CNN, Eto’o revealed how he went to buy watches with his brother but the sales rep refused to attend to them because of fear that he might be another Nigerian scammer following in the footsteps of those that came the day before.
The former Chelsea, Barcelona, Inter Milan and Everton star, who is worth over $100million, said he’d gone into the store with his brother to buy a £10,000 watch, but said the shop assistant looked at them suspiciously and reluctantly allowed them to view the watches.

The prestigious Africa Magic Viewers' Choice Awards (AMVCA) took place on Saturday, March 7, 2015 at Eko Hotel Convention Centre.

The event which was transmitted live on Africa Magic stations via DSTV, saw Kunle Afolayan walk away with the biggest awards of the night thanks to his 'October 1' movie which won 9 awards!

OC Ukeje won the 'Best Actor' award while Kehinde Bankole was the recipient of the 'Best Actress' prize. Best supporting actor and actress went to Blossom Chukwujekwu and Linda Ejiofor respectively.

Another big winner of the night was Rita Dominic and Mildred Okwo's 'The Meeting' which won the 'Best Movie (Comedy)' and spun awards for Femi Jacobs (Best Actor in Comedy) and Rita Dominic (Best Actress in Comedy).

There were music performances from The Mavin Crew, Diamond Platinumz and comedic theatrics from Basketmouth and Eddie Kadi.

I just want people to focus more on my music, it’s life human beings must always fallout. Let’s go back to your time at E.M.E, what kind of relationship did you have with Wizkid? We were just there, we were cool. For me it was just about making music, that’s what brought us together in the first place, it’s not like we are from the same family, so let’s just focus on the music which was what I did, if I had something on my mind I always say it out. At what point did you guys really fall out? We never really fell out, the relationship we had has always been about music, it’s not like we are brothers, we are not from the same family like I said, it was just business and music, so we were cool, and even till now we are still cool, I have no bad blood against him, I just want to face my music right now, I’m about to drop my album and that’s all that matters to me right now. How long have you been trying to get Wizkid to work with you? Today, Friday, March 6, 2015 marks the 12th remembrance service in honour of the late mum of Nigerian music star and HKN boss star, Davido and the award winning pop star took to social media to remember his mum, the late Veronica Adeleke who died when he was just 11 years old.

On Tuesday, March 3, 2015, legendary Fuji icon, King Wasiu Ayinde Marshall (K 1) was a year older. The fuji king celebrated his 58th birthday in Lagos at a private party organised by members of Unique Charitable Foundation, at Protea Hotel, Ikeja, Lagos.

The report that fair-skinned Ghanaian actress, Nadia Buari had given birth to a set of twin girls in a hospital outside the country surfaced on March 2, 2015.
Though the news was confirmed by her father, Alhaji Sidiku Buari, many were not so convinced as some were of the opinion it was another publicity stunt.
